2 Bernd - I'm a 27 year old Engineer living and working in Singapore. I would like to volunteer in Sumatra, since I have friends there, some of them have lost their relatives in Aceh... I can speak German, English, French, Chinese (Mandarin) and some Spanish and a little bit Indonesian. Anybody who coordinates a volunteer group for North-Sumatra (Aceh) please contact me via email bwittstock@web.de .

No formal experience, but very willing to go out to Asia if required, or do stuff here - and have the time. My name is Brett; I just came home to the USA 2 days before the tsunami hit from almost 8 years working on a project in the mountains of west Java Indonesia (Including almost 4 yrs living in a small village). I speak Bahasa Indonesia and I am familiar with the culture. By trade I am an electrical power and project management consultant but I am willing to help any way possible.
I would like to volunteer my services to help with the relief effort. I am available here or in the field, living in one of the small villages is not new to me.
